Fans and blowers are ATEX-approved for hazardous areas

Air Control Industries' range of industrial fans, blowers and exhausters now complies with European Directive 94/9/EC. This means ACI's products meet all appropriate 'Ex' safety standards adopted across the European Union, in line with the requirements of the ATEX Directive.

Fans and blowers are ATEX-approved for hazardous areas

Approved fan and blower units are manufactured in a range of materials, including stainless steel, galvanised steel and aluminium. For even more rigorous environments, such as marine applications, special paint finishes are available.

All ACI certified fan units are specifically for use in Group II, Category 2 environments and are designed for operation where explosive atmospheres are likely to occur. The performance parameters of available units are airflows from 50 to 4500m3/h, and pressures from 0.25 to 3.25kPa.

The ACI products were certified by Sira, an independent certification service, with Certificate Number Sira 03ATEX9174.

ACI's certification covers: Category 2 (high level of protection); Zone 1 (a place where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation occasionally); and Zone 2 (areas where an explosive atmosphere is not likely to occur in normal operation but, if it does, will persist for a short period only).
