Citect is expanding its ability to provide manufacturing execution solutions to the wider European market with the appointment of Carlo Di Leo as Business Development Manager for Ampla, Citect’s high-quality, scaleable MES package.
Di Leo’s brief is to build upon Ampla’s recent successes with household names such as Ryvita and Ahold Coffee by growing sales with existing clients and by targeting new ones. His remit includes all relevant Europe market sectors, with an initial focus on the UK.
A highly experienced sales executive, with a strong background in business development and key account management, Di Leo has worked for companies such as Rockwell Automation, Petrofac, Invensys and Wyko. He has experience in most major industries - including oil and gas, power utilities, paper and pulp, and food and drink - and has managed blue-chip accounts such as Transco LNG, Marathon Oil, ExxonMobil, British Energy, Thames Water, HJ Heinz, McVites, Kodak, Opel Cars and many more.
His experience with these blue-chip companies over the last 20 years has provided an excellent background and a wealth of experience in dealing with high-level customers, ensuring substantial returns on investment though the use of technology. This experience will now be deployed to ensure that organisations benefit from Ampla’s ability to analyse and present plant data more quickly and effectively, resulting in improved performance and optimised ROI.
