Machine Building, Drives & Automation, the show that takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 14 and 15 February 2007, is arguably the UK's leading exhibition addressing all aspects of machine building, automation, drives and design.

Show Manager Marlene Carr is delighted with the exhibition's progress so far, stating: "For the 2006 Machine Building event, we had a total of 33 exhibitors. Currently, for the 2007 show, we are standing at 51 exhibitors with space still available. This represents an incredible 54 per cent increase in stand sales, which proves Machine Building's value as the premier event of its type for 2007."

In addition to this increase in demand for stand space, pre-registration for the Machine Building exhibition, through the online facility at www.machinebuilding.co.uk and pre-registration tickets returned to the organisers, is now extremely busy.

The 2007 event will see the return of the Robotics Demonstration Area supported by BARA, offering visitors the opportunity to view working industrial robots in a 'live' environment. BARA provides a voice for the robotics and automation industries when dealing with government, industry, financial and academic institutions. The aim of BARA (www.bara.org.uk) is to promote the use of, and assist in the development of, automation in British industry.

Incorporated with Machine Building is PneuMotion – Air At Work, which specialises in pneumatic components and systems equipment. This features exhibitors from the compressed air industry. PneuMotion is supported by the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS), which represents manufacturers, distributors and users of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied products.

Fifteen brand new exhibitors will be at the Machine Building event for the first time, including Motoman Robotics, GE Fanuc Automation CNC, Minitec UK and Newall Measurement Systems.
