Machine Building, Drives & Automation, including PneuMotion, took place at the NEC, Birmingham on 14 and 15 February 2007 and drew many positive endorsements from the exhibitors who enjoyed a successful show. Comments included:

'Good number of leads, busy stand, looking forward to coming again next year' - Mark Crocker, Baldor UK Ltd.

'Exceeded all expectations' - Mike Larsen, Oriental Motor (UK).

The event is claimed to be the UK's leading exhibition addressing all aspects of machine building, automation, drives and design. The show brings together component suppliers, subsystem suppliers and manufacturers of complete turnkey systems, enabling visitors to view the latest developments and technology within this field. Incorporated with the Machine Building, Drives & Automation event is PneuMotion – Air At Work, which specialises in pneumatic components and systems equipment, featuring exhibitors from the compressed air industry.

Co-located with Mtec – Sensors, Measurement & Instrumentation, IPOT – Machine Vision & Displays Technology, and Practical Vacuum, these industry-leading events attracted over 4200 people who pre-registered and visited the shows.

Marlene Carr, Machine Building Show Manager, is very pleased with this positive feedback and says: "Machine Building has grown over the years into the annual highlight of the UK calendar and this year was no exception. I have personally received excellent feedback from many exhibitors who have already rebooked for the 2008 show."

To be precise, more than 60 per cent of stand space has been sold and reserved following the closure of the 2007 show. This include big names such as Baldor UK Ltd, Metool Products Ltd, Rittal, Machine Building Systems Ltd, Igus UK and Schunk Intec Ltd.

The next Machine Building, Drives & Automation incorporating PneuMotion event will be held in Hall 10 at the NEC, Birmingham, on 13 and 14 February 2008 and will be co-located with Trident's other focussed industrial events.
