The recent Mtec – Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation, featuring Industrial Networks, exhibition, which took place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 14 and 15 February 2007, drew flattering comments from exhibitors and was considered to have exceeded exhibitors' and visitors' expectations.

Co-located with Machine Building - Drives & Automation, IPOT – Machine Vision & Displays Technology and Practical Vacuum, these industry-leading events attracted over 4200 people who pre-registered and visited the shows. Feedback from exhibitors includes:

'It was a fabulous show with lots of attendees with some good quality leads' - Ian Moore, Rhopoint Components.

'Very pleased with response at the exhibition, being a first-time exhibitor' - James Heappy, PW Circuits.

Mtec was supported by a full programme of free workshops and seminars that were equally well attended on both days of the exhibition. The following are comments from two of the workshop and seminar providers:

'Our Profinet Workshop was packed out with standing room only. Mtec is maintaining its position at the forefront and as the focal point for the industry' - Bob Squirrell, The Profibus Group.

'This was a great success and we had a good number of delegates attending the OptoCem.Net event at Mtec. The room and AV equipment were well suited to our needs and I should like to thank the Trident team for making this such a successful event for us' - Rob Bogue, OptoCem.Net Consortium.

Jill Wadge, the Mtec Show Manager, is absolutely delighted with the results, saying: "Mtec is the leading event of its type in the UK and this year we had to expand the floor plan on three occasions to cope with the demand in space requirements. I have received many positive comments from exhibitors, both during the show and afterwards, who have already rebooked for next year and Mtec 2008 promises to be a bumper event."

In fact more than 60 per cent of stand space has been sold and reserved in the two weeks since the 2007 show ended, which equates to 75 exhibitors. These include the likes of PR Electronics, Huba Control AG, Variohm, Festo Ltd, Raytek UK, National Instruments, Renishaw plc, and WIKA Instruments.

The 2008 Mtec Exhibition will be held in Hall 11 of the NEC and, as before, will be co-located with Trident's other focussed industrial events, on 13 and 14 February 2008. For further information on exhibiting at Mtec, please contact Jill Wadge on +44 (0)1822 614671 or email .
