The Energy Event 08 was certainly busy, with the National Motorcycle Museum's car park overflowing and visitors having to be brought by bus from additional parking at the nearby NEC. Exhibitors were also pleased with the quality of the enquiries, helped no doubt by the current high energy prices.
Many of the exhibitors were focusing on ways in which industrial and commercial users of energy and water can reduce their consumption, plus there were several of the leading energy suppliers, as well as companies offering consultancy and energy trading services, and others operating in the field of micro-generation.
Only a relatively small proportion of exhibitors were displaying products and systems of interest to machine builders. But companies listed in the MachineBuilding.net Directory with a presence at The Energy Event 08 included: Atlas Copco Compressors; Flir Systems; Mitsubishi Electric; Schneider Electric; and Vacon.
