Parvalux says that its new financial year has started well, with the order intake for July 35 per cent above budget and business showing no sign of slowing down.

The company is also now in the advanced stages of planning for its new office in Poland, where the market for automation products is growing fast from both local and international demand.

Besides the positive business environment, Peter Bruch, the new operations director, has hit the ground running. Parvalux has set itself some formidable targets, aiming to reduce delivery times by up to 50 per cent over the next two years. While the existing delivery times are satisfactory, especially with the many special variants produced, the aim is to lead the market in terms of 'prototype to production' time.

Finally, Parvalux has a new designer joining the team in September. Russell Tanner designed gearboxes for a large Swiss motion control manufacturer for several years and will join Parvalux to head up mechanical design. The company is receiving more and more orders for 5k - 100k pieces per annum needing bespoke design, and the goal is to be able to capture more of these applications and utilise Parvalux's considerable manufacturing resource in the UK and China.
