3D Systems Corporation says that representatives from Bell Helicoptor, Burton Snowboards and Honda Japan will be among the industry leaders making presentations at the 3D Systems World Conference from 24-27 September 2007 in Rock Hill, SC, USA. The conference agenda is packed with exciting classes, extensive hands-on training sessions, dynamic presenters, comprehensive exhibits and plenty of valuable networking opportunities. With presentations from such global leaders as Bell Helicopter, Burton Snowboards and Honda Japan, the agenda is claimed to cover every major global industry segment: aerospace, architecture, automotive, consumer goods and medical applications.
Chris Gravelle and Matt Cordner of Bell Helicopter will give a keynote presentation titled Sintering Technology Reaches the Cockpit that will explore how that company uses 3D Systems' technology to expand its use of rapid prototyping parts in aircraft.
Cordner, who is the executive director of Bell Helicopter's XworX organisation, which is responsible for product research and prototyping, comments: "This presentation will address the process of prototyping, qualifying and designing around the capabilities of sintered parts in an aerospace environment as well as the challenges encountered along the way."
Burton Snowboard's Ryan Larson will talk about his company's quick turnaround time for prototypes and on-snow functional testing thanks to 3D Systems' laser sintering technology during a presentation titled Advancing Past the Bunny Slope.
Rapid manufacturing will be the focus of a keynote presentation by Mr Tanaka of Honda Japan that will showcase how Honda has applied 3D Systems' technologies in the fast-paced, innovative and revolutionary automotive world. Mr Tanaka's presentation, titled Digital Product Development Moves Into the Driver's Seat, is expected to be a visually and lively demonstration of how rapid prototyping and manufacturing have shortened Honda's product development cycle and helped the company become one of the most successful car manufacturers in the world.
Presenters and attendees at the 3D Systems World Conference will share a common vision and passion to transform the way products are designed, developed and manufactured. It is said to be the only conference in the industry to include numerous technology platforms, true hands-on training in state-of-the-art labs and a network of global users so everyone from product designers and engineers to seasoned 3D Systems' machine users will leave the conference more knowledgeable, better equipped and more inspired to innovate.
For qualified attendees, there is no conference or registration fee, and 3D Systems will pay for food, in-town transportation and entertainment. For more information on the 3D Systems World Conference, visit www.3dworldconference.com.
