Lee Spring's stock spring product listing has grown by almost 50 per cent over the past two years. The latest 160-page stock spring catalogue features 5000 new products and lists 15,400 different types of spring.

New ranges of Lite Pressure compression springs, continuous length and battery spring products have been added to the catalogue. In addition, many stock springs are now available in 316 stainless steel.

Springs manufactured in 316 stainless steel present several advantages over 302 type stainless, which have, until now, been the standard offering. Corrosion resistance is greater, especially in chloride environments, purity levels are higher and therefore colour is more consistent. All Lee Spring 316 stainless springs are ultrasonically cleaned as well as passivated to offer medical and food-grade levels of cleanliness.

Lite Pressure springs meet demands for compression springs combining low spring rates with larger diameters. Manufactured only in 316 stainless steel, these high-index springs are particularly suitable for applications such as valves, pistons, syringes, motor brushes, dispensers, contacts and toys.

Continuous length extension springs meet demands for unusual applications or maintenance operations. Offered in 12, 24 and 36ins (304.8, 609.6 and 914.4mm) lengths in music wire and 302 stainless steel, they are designed to be cut to length to meet custom load requirements.

Battery springs provide fast, efficient and reliable contacts in most situations where portable power is required - for example, in self-contained moulded battery compartments or tailored applications. Four mounting configurations are available, all of which work with the most popular battery sizes.
