In the space of just four years Master Chemical (Shanghai) Co Ltd, in the People's Republic of China, has outgrown its existing manufacturing facility. It has therefore started building a second plant in Tianjin.

Joe Wright, CEO, says: "Demand for our Trim metalworking fluids and Xybex recycling systems has been nothing short of explosive. And there is no doubt that this part of Asia is a sustainable market for us."

With this multi-million-dollar investment, Master Chemical is providing a clear commitment on product availability to Chinese manufacturers. The plant is to be in the production heartland of the north to ensure the shortest time to market.

When the Tianjin site is completed, the Master Chemical technical centre in Shanghai can re-focus its operation. Greater emphasis will be placed on sales, service and support, together with the development of these functions in line with market growth.

This commercial development in China mirrors similar expansion throughout Europe. Master Chemical is enjoying worldwide growth year-on-year, as its fluid products continue to enhance both productivity and product quality.
