The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) reports that Rhombus VS Ltd and the VTX - Vision Technology Exhibition and Conference are the latest organisations to become members. Rhombus VS Ltd is an OEM specialist in the manufacture of complete custom products for vision, non-contact metrology and automation applications, while VTX is a UK and Irish annual exhibition for the vision industry.

Rhombus VS is a system integration specialist with extensive experience and expertise in high-accuracy process/motion control, software products and integration, materials/part handling, robotic integration, image acquisition and processing, instrumentation and measurement, beam profiling, multi-sensor analysis, laser processing, galvanometer scanning and calibration, inspection and statistical analysis.

VTX is organised by OctoMedia Ltd, part of the Canon Communications group. Canon is a global organiser of events for the advanced manufacturing industries. VTX is held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, and provides an educational forum for both expert users and those who have not yet considered the use of vision systems. VTX is held in parallel to the Mtec and the Machine Building and Automation exhibitions.

UKIVA Director Don Braggins says: "We are always delighted to welcome new members, and it is interesting to see that as well as our more 'traditional' members we are attracting more organisations who, like the association, are also involved in promoting the use of vision."
