Air Kraft becomes an Atlas Copco Compressors Premier DistributorAir Kraft, based in Coventry, is celebrating its appointment as a Premier Distributor for Atlas Copco Compressors. Remarking on the appointment, Craig May-Russell, Managing Director of Air Kraft says: “Achieving Premier Distributor status represents yet another milestone in our successful relationship with Atlas Copco and enables us to offer customers an even wider range of energy-efficient and cost-effective compressed air solutions.”

Air Kraft was first appointed as an Atlas Copco industrial air reseller in 1995, before becoming a Class1 Distributor for the company in 2006. As a Premier Distributor, Air Kraft now provides a full range of energy-saving compressed air systems, including both new and used models. These include Atlas Copco’s GA range of 5kW–90kW rotary screw stationary compressors together with air quality equipment and pipework installations. In addition, the company operates customer services such as preventative maintenance, repairs and reconditioning, air audits, leak detection and air quality testing.

Being appointed as an Atlas Copco Compressors Premier Distributor provides Air Kraft with a number of significant advantages. For instance, Atlas Copco Compressors carries out numerous marketing initiatives in support of its Premier Distributors, including tele-marketing, direct marketing, PR support and matched funding initiatives to help further drive their businesses forward. In addition, Premier Distributors are provided with increased access to technical support and training.

As a well-established business with an experienced, stable, workforce, Air Kraft has a wide customer base of industrial companies in the Midlands and across the country, which includes some of the region’s leading companies in the aerospace and transport sectors. In its pursuit of new business opportunities the provision of energy saving systems continues to be one of Air Kraft’s primary objectives, as Craig May-Russell observes: “Our pro-active approach to customers is to focus on installing the most appropriate and effective compressor solutions. In many cases, this means we’ve helped customers achieve significant annual reductions in energy and power consumption.”

Its appointment as an Atlas Copco Premier Distributor has also seen Air Kraft hire new staff to handle the increased level of business. The company now has a total workforce of 13 full-and part-time employees, and in order to maintain this momentum is looking to hire additional engineers and office personnel in the future.

As well as marking its elevation to ‘Premier Status’, 2012 has seen Air Kraft achieve a number of other business objectives. For instance, the company recently underwent a successful extension of its premises on the Binley Industrial Estate in Coventry, which included the unveiling of a new equipment showroom, offices and storage facilities.
