ERIKS is addressing the growing customer need to manage acquisition costs with a new white paper on the topic, free to download here. As an MRO supplier that is now also recognised as a total solutions provider, ERIKS has the knowhow and experience to offer valuable advice on the subject of acquisition costs. To complement this knowledge, ERIKS has teamed up with Professor Alan Braithwaite, Head of the Supply Chain Research Centre at Cranfield University, to provide a topical and thorough overview of the subject that will help customers to take the right route to efficiency.

The acquisition cost savings white paper offers two viewpoints – one from within ERIKS, one from an academic – that promote a ‘Total Cost’ approach to both practical engineering management and business economics. Professor Braithwaite explains why the key to managing acquisition costs requires a change in attitudes and a more integrated role for suppliers within customers’ supply chains, while Andy Silver of ERIKS echoes this view by stressing that reducing acquisition costs is about much more than cutting the price of purchasing.

This acquisition cost savings white paper is one of a series of papers released by ERIKS in 2013, helping customers to address key issues and look at the bigger picture to achieve deeper, more effective solutions to their current problems. The white paper can be downloaded from www.eriks.co.uk/Acquisition-Cost-Savings.
