AUVESY's versiondog has won the IT Innovation Award, presented by the SME Initiative. The focus of the jury of experts was on products that will make small and medium-sized companies fit for success in the digital future. The award was sponsored by TUV Informationstechnik GmbH.
As a result of the size, composition and independence of the jury, the IT Innovation Award is held in particularly high regard compared to other awards. Entries are closely scrutinised by more than 100 professors, industry experts, academics and specialised journalists, which is more than enough reason for AUVESY to be delighted about the success of its versiondog data management product.
versiondog 4.0 (due to be released in May 2016) will see a range of new applications and features with a focus on helping not only large corporations but also SMEs in the increasingly important implementation of Industry 4.0.
Using versiondog, machine builders and automation companies can backup, compare and document changes to software; versiondog provides version control specifically for industrial automation projects. The tool handles programs and data for PLCs, SCADA systems, robots, CNC machine tools and more. With versiondog, companies not only save time by automating the version control process, but also ensures that the process is followed rigorously and securely throughout the project lifecycle, thereby reducing risks associated with relying on manual processes.
