Spelsberg helps UK machine builders to beat Brexit uncertaintySpelsberg UK’s large warehouse facility is strategically stocked with thousands of enclosure sizes and designs for guaranteed fast delivery. With political and commercial uncertainties dominating the headlines, it’s little wonder that British businesses are looking for stability and support from their customers. Spelsberg UK is well regarded for its expert technical knowledge and customisation capabilities, but, now more than ever, it is also being recognised for its large stock holding.

The advantages of holding stock are nothing new: helping suppliers to control fluctuation exchange rates and improve delivery times. However, in recent years many suppliers have instead turned their attentions to Lean methods. While this can be advantageous to their cash flow, it can also affect the supply chain should any disruptions occur. So, while we’re facing poor exchange rates and a lack of certainty about supply from the European mainland, end-users are increasingly concerned about their suppliers’ stock positions.

Chris Lloyd, Spelsberg UK Managing Director, comments: “Spelsberg is the largest ex stock supplier of non-metallic enclosures in the UK. We have over 8,000 sq ft of dedicated warehouse space where we hold close to £1million of stock. This covers thousands of individual sizes and designs, which means we can offer next day delivery for 99 per cent of orders for standard enclosures.”

Of course, stock holding isn’t the only criterion that matters to engineers and installers. Of equal importance is product quality, technical support and flexibility. This is why Spelsberg is continuing to invest in its in-house CNC machining and assembly services, for turnkey bespoke solutions.
