A new list of Harmonised Standards for the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the European Union on 8 April. This can be downloaded as a PDF and it supersedes previously published lists. Note that lists published in the OJ are the only ones having any legal standing; lists published on the European Commission website are only informative.

This article on MachineBuilding.net provides more information and lists the standards published for the first time in the OJ and the new versions of superseded standards.

For machine builders using fluid power (pneumatics and hydraulics), I recently I came across a Position Paper published by CETOP. This has received very little publicity, yet it contains useful information relating to fluid power and the new Machinery Directive.
