7th August 2019

Before you scroll down to read this month's news and announcements, I would like to draw your attention to two things. First, in case you are not already aware of it, there is currently a consultation on changes to the Machinery Directive. The European Commission has already received feedback on its proposals, which can be read online, but now is your chance to comment. Contributions to the consultation will be accepted up until midnight on 30 August. Follow the link to find out about the consultation and how to comment.

Second, the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) is changing the way it performs some of its functions. Previously the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) offered training, consultancy, validation and similar services, but now these non-statutory services are being provided under the HSE umbrella brand as Solutions from HSE.
