Since mid 2006 integral display backlighting has been available as standard in all Vega transmitters using the common plics system and instrument display, Plicscom. This handy universal display and programmer unit already features high-resolution graphics, capable of showing detailed echo curves for time-of-flight and internally data-logged trends in all transmitters; it can also save and transfer data.
Plicscom plugs into every Vega 'smart' transmitter: radar, TDR, ultrasonic, pressure and admittance – in ATEX, 4-20mA loop-powered, four-wire, Profi, Foundation Fieldbus formats and local indicators. Plics is the Vega system that offers time and cost savings throughout ownership, with common design, build and operation. Cost savings are built in, from selection though to commissioning and operation. It also means developments like this, and others, can be quickly implemented across the full range.
