Vega is launching Vegapuls 67, an affordable, entry-level device for bulk solids level measurement, designed for applications where ultrasonic or capacitive probes have been traditionally used. It incorporates an innovative new sealed antenna system that makes it possible to price the product considerably lower, yet it retains Vega's tried-and-tested pulse radar technology for high sensitivity, combined with Echofox signal evaluation optimised for bulk solids.
The sensor is suitable for applications in small- to medium-sized silos, hoppers, crushers or conveyor level control with a range up to 15m. It is suitable for any industries that handle bulk solids – from food, milling or recycling, right through to building materials production and processing.
A special mounting concept makes it easy to install the small, lightweight sensors, and the two-wire technology enables straightforward replacement of other systems, as the existing wiring can be used. The sensor has all the relevant ATEX approvals for atmospheres containing potentially explosive dusts, along with Profibus and FF options
As with all Vega products sold in the UK, the new level sensor comes with a three-year warranty as standard.
