Calex Electronics is introducing the Convel 42024B DIN rail mounted linear power supply that offers 96W of power in a robust DIN-rail mounted enclosure. The enclosure is a two-part metal design, where the base consists of a robust but lightweight aluminium extrusion. This combines rigidity and strength with good thermal conductivity and forms the DIN-rail mounting channel. The cover is made of folded sheet steel and is ventilated to assist thermal convection. All input and output connections are made via heavy-duty screw clamp connectors that are capable of accepting cables up to 10mm2.
The 42024B offers a smooth 24V DC output at up to 4A. The output has less than 5mV rms ripple and has a voltage tolerance of +/-0.5 per cent maximum. The output is also fully protected against short circuits and overload. Load regulation for this model runs at +/-0.2 per cent for a 50 per cent load change, and line regulation is +/-0.05 per cent for a 10 per cent line change. The input is link selectable for either 115 or 230V AC (+/-10 per cent) at 50/60Hz.
