New packages simplify migration to LED technologyNew Power LED light engines from CML-Innovative Technologies (CML-IT) are said to make moving to LED technology simple. SSL light engines can include all the elements required to implement an LED-based lighting product – LED, lens, driver circuitry, heatsinking and packaging – meaning that all designers need do to benefit from this low-power, long-life technology is to connect the appropriate power source.

Targeted at a wide range of general lighting applications, the modular line of Solid State Lighting (SSL) light engines is addressing key levels of SSL integration and is specifically aimed at OEMs using lighting in their designs. Designed for use as spot-lights for point-of-sale and cabinet/display case lighting or for general illumination applications such as architectural, landscape or task lighting, the SSL light engine family from CML-IT is suitable for customisation towards specific customer and application requirements.

SSL light engines comprise a range of 1, 3, 4, 9 and 14 Watt LED modules that can be combined with a range of custom or standard drivers and include heat sinks where required. High-efficiency custom or standard driver boards featuring compact designs can be adapted to specific application requirements. Several different fitting options (metal core PCB, host fixture mounting and wire leads) are available, making integration of the family of SSL light engines extremely quick and easy.

The 14 Watt Power LED module used for the SSL light engine family from CML-IT features the equivalent lumen output of a 35W incandescent bulb. All Power LED modules are available with narrow and wide secondary optics and in a choice of colours: cool white, warm white, blue, cyan, green, amber and red. All devices feature consistent unit-to-unit colour temperature and offer a service life of 50,000 hours.
