Jokab Safety is launching a new double-sized (90mm wide) Pluto module for the Pluto safety PLC system. This module has been developed to meet the need for a compact safety PLC module with more I/O. Furthermore, it is available either with a bus connection (B 46-6) or as a standalone unit (S46-6).
Both the Pluto B46-6 and S46-6 have 46 I/O in total, of which six are individual safe outputs. 16 I/O can be used either as inputs or outputs and 24 I/O are inputs for safety devices or other devices. Note that extension relays can be used to increase the I/O count further.
Jokab's 'Pluto Manager' software is based on ladder programming, which makes Pluto practical to use for both safety monitoring and for the control of smaller machines. This software can be downloaded free of charge from Jokab's website.
An HMI can be connected directly to the serial interface on the front of the Pluto module or to the safety can-bus.
