DC motors have choice of IEC B14 and Nema flanges and shafts

Parvalux is introducing a standard range of IEC B14 and Nema flanges and shafts for all of its permanent magnet (PM) motors. This will enable customers to specify the motors with European or North American standardised interfaces, hence Parvalux DC motors can be used with a much wider range of gearboxes.

For each motor size the standards stipulate: hole centre distance (also referred to as Pitch Circle Diameter or PCD), hole diameter, shaft length, shaft diameter and flange diameter.

For those not familiar with Parvalux DC motors, the company claims that it manufactures one of the best ranges of permanent magnet motors on the market. They are said to be extremely well made, reliable and available in small or large quantities; and the price range for the industrial motors are described as 'simply divine'.

CAD drawings of both the IEC B14 and NEMA interfaces for each permanent magnet motor model can be downloaded from the Parvalux website.
