Gefran is launching its new SieiDrive ADV200 AC inverter family with FOC (field oriented control). The next-generation 32-bit microcontroller-based range covers power ratings from 0.75kW to 1.5MW in four modular frame sizes with up to +/-0.01 per cent speed regulation accuracy. Aimed at system builders and OEMs, the inverters' application flexibility includes configuration for open-loop or closed-loop speed feedback as well as flux vector or V/f control. The space-saving design enables up to three encoder interfaces, fieldbus interfaces or I/O expansion cards to be mixed in any combination. A range of programming options is available to match application complexity, from a simple menu-driven keypad to a full onboard PLC with industry-standard IEC 61131-3.
For integration flexibility, the ADV200 has a number of built-in features designed for fast and straightforward system commissioning including DC-choke and input filters, an OMEGA clamp for EMC cable shielding, removable easy-access wiring terminations, front-mounted option slots and an integral keypad. A dynamic braking module may also be integrated into drives up to 75kW. An additional safety option card is included, to disable the motor without the use of a safety contactor on the drive output, in compliance with EN 954-1 category 3.
The ADV200 includes a removable easy-to-use keypad with a backlit four-line text display for direct parameter programming. Gefran’s GF-eXpress configuration tool with an integrated oscilloscope is also available for fast set-up and application commissioning and includes an integrated PLC for simple applications. For demanding machine control, the ADV200 can be supplied with an IEC 61131-3 sequential PLC and Gefran’s MDPLC advanced development software.
Fieldbus communications
Standard fieldbus options include CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus-DP as well as Gefran’s own GD-Net real-time fast Ethernet that may be used for high-speed synchronisation between axes. Standard regulation stage configuration includes two analogue inputs and outputs, 6 + 2 digital inputs and outputs and two relay outputs. The ADV200 also includes an RS485 serial input, which may be optionally adapted to Modbus RTU for peer-to-peer or multidrop connection for multi-axis systems.
The 400V AC to 480V AC range offers closed-loop speed regulation accuracy to +/-0.01 per cent of rated motor speed with a range of 1:1000.
