The new PICA100-F tachometer and frequency meter is now available from Vydas International Marketing. The PICA100-F is a compact 1/32 DIN size and is designed for measuring frequencies, velocities in rpm or lineal and is totally programmable. Manufactured by Ditel, the instrument is one of the KOSMOS series of digital panel meters.

The instrument has a four-digit, 8mm-high LED red display. Supply excitation is provided for the sensor, selectable via programming from the front panel. The PICA100-F accepts inputs from most standard sensors: pick-up magnetic, Namur, PNP, NPN and switch. It is also able to measure frequencies from signals in the range of 10-600V AC. Its two mounted relays enable this instrument not only to measure but also to control, regulate and detect alarms for the input signals.

In addition, thanks to its communication option RS4P (RS485), it can be integrated within a measurement system and is able to provide output information via its protocols ASCII, ISO 1745 or Modbus-RTU.

The PICA100-F front panel incorporates three keys for configuring the parameters. Its brightness level is programmable with four levels in order to adapt it to the environment where it is installed. The instrument also registers the minimum and maximum process value from the time of commissioning or resetting. Output options are isolated from the input and the power supply.
