Opus A1 operator terminal benefits from CANbus and serial portsSensor-Technik UK is adding Wachendorff's Opus A1 operator terminal to its range. This rugged, state-of-the-art graphical control panel for mobile machinery is already being used in a range of applications.

The Opus A1 is based around a 10.4-inch TFT colour display and is fully PC-programmable to enable machinery operators to be presented with a specific set of tasks. The unit features a die-cast aluminium housing that is rugged enough for almost any application.

Nine function keys - with backlighting - and a rotary actuator on the side provide sufficient versatility for almost any task. Output is via three CANbus and four serial ports, and there are two slots for SD memory cards. Vibration resistance is to 5 'g', shock resistance 30 'g', and the operating temperature is from -25 to +65degC.

Wachendorff has specialised in the design and development of operator panels for mobile machines for over 25 years. Every month over 1000 operator panels leave its factory in Geisenheim on the Rhine. With the UK development support from Sensor-Technik, the Opus A1 is likely to prove highly popular.
