Thermostatic controls incorporate high-power relaysNew from Hawco Refrigeration is LAE's complete range of refrigeration and thermostatic controls in the new redesigned 5 Series fascia, combining built-in high-power relays for direct control and the low-cost universal control (AT2) for refrigeration and heating applications in one product.

The new mains-powered controllers are PTC/NTC-selectable and feature quick programming keys for fast batch programming. Certain models feature Flexicold energy-saving technology. Flexicold is a software function that automatically adapts to changing working conditions of a refrigerator unit - for example, if warm products are placed in the fridge or a door is opened frequently. In such situations, the software switches to a different set of parameters more suited to dealing with the new conditions. When the situation returns to normal, the software detects this and reverts to the main set of operating parameters, resulting is lower power consumption.

Paul Dommett, internal sales engineer at Hawco, comments: "These new 5 Series low-cost universal controllers are very versatile and quick and easy to program. Applications include control panels for cold rooms, plug-in display cases, heated cabinets and counters."
