Autodesk is announcing the availability of the Autodesk Inventor 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack, providing existing Inventor Subscription customers with early access to new productivity tools in the drawing, part, and assembly environments of Autodesk Inventor 2009 software.
Many of the productivity tools in the Autodesk Inventor 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack came about as a result of a continued focus on existing Inventor Subscription customers. Subscription customers will be able to install these tools to their current Inventor 2009 software after downloading a small file from the Autodesk Subscription portal.
As the 'foundation for digital prototyping,' Autodesk Inventor software provides a comprehensive and integrated set of 3D mechanical design tools for producing, maintaining and documenting complete digital prototypes that help bring better products to market faster and at lower cost. Autodesk Subscription is said to be the best way to optimise an investment in Autodesk software, providing access to the latest releases of Autodesk software, web support direct from Autodesk technical experts, and self-paced training to extend user skills.
Drawing Manager Productivity: With the addition of productivity tools such as Arrange Dimensions, users can quickly and easily clean up dimensions and drawing annotations. Now Inventor users can open a corresponding drawing right from a part or assembly. Other new drawing tools include the ability to refresh drawing parameters, balloon snap and alignment tools on placement, enhancements to projecting geometry, as well as the ability to edit dimensions during placement.
Part Modelling Productivity: In the drawing environment, users can now create parameters 'on the fly' through the Edit Dimension dialogue box without ever having to access the Parameter dialogue box. This capability helps users to quickly set up design intent without leaving the sketching environment.
Assembly Design Productivity: The Bill of Materials (BOM) editor now allows for editing in a similar way to that used in Microsoft Excel, enabling shortcuts such as shift or control for selection, copy/paste, capitalisation, find and replace, and cross-highlighting from the BOM editor and assembly model.
The Autodesk Inventor 2009 Subscription Bonus Pack is currently available to Autodesk Inventor 2009 Subscription customers on the Autodesk Subscription portal as English-language software for use in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. Autodesk also currently plans to localise the offering for countries including Japan, Korea, France, Italy and Germany.
