Kistler Instruments is using the 2010 Mtec show to promote its range of accelerometers using the Kistler PiezoStar grown crystal. These devices provide exceptional stability and high-temperature performance. Since 1998, crystals measuring up to 65mm in diameter and weighing up to 2.5kg have been grown and processed by Kistler to form sensor elements, creating a new group of pressure and acceleration sensors with properties that are claimed to be superior.
Kistler has optimised the PiezoStar crystal elements for use in sensors for demanding applications, thereby strengthening its technological edge in sensor technology. Single-axis and triaxial types are included in the accelerometer range.
