Wieland is exhibiting its latest wietap overvoltage protection modules on its stand at Drives & Controls. These are designed to provide complete overvoltage protection for machines and process equipment.
Crucially, wietap modules deliver a very short response time and high discharge capacity (up to 100kA), with no tripping of fuses thanks to the 'follow current limitation; function. They are designed for applications such as in control cabinets and sub-panels of machines.
All of the components are modular and DIN rail-mountable and can be replaced without tools. They range from the ready-to-connect three-phase combi-arrester wietap V M for the main distribution and wietap G M for sub-panels, through to the wietap R M for control cabinets or for integration within equipment.
All of the devices in the wietap range are designed for application temperatures from -40 to +80degC, are vibration and shock tested to EN 60068-2. They are also available with an optional remote signalling contact.
