Integrated pressure sensor provides stable high-level mV output

ETLG Inertial Aerosystems is announcing a new integrated pressure sensor (IPS) providing a high-level millivolt output with excellent stability. The sensor is directed towards Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other designers who require a compact, high-performance pressure sensor element as part of their design.

The IPS is manufactured by US-based Honeywell Aerospace and uses their proven silicon piezoresistive sensor element used on more sophisticated transducers. An on-chip temperature sensor allows modelling across a temperature range of -55degC to + 125degC absolute and -40degC to +85degC gauge and differential. Accuracy and stability of up to 0.05 per centFS absolute and 0.025 per cent FS per year are achievable with appropriate signal conditioning, digital correction and preconditioning of the sensor and associated electronics.

Absolute pressure range of up to 50PSI and gauge/differential of up to 20PSI are available in five different models. Applications include air data computers, flow and pressure calibrators, flight test systems, engine test systems and general instrumentation and analytical equipment.
