Stemmer Imaging’s ultrafast ADLINK EOS-1200 embedded vision system is now available. Featuring a second-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor and four independent PoE (power over Ethernet) ports with a total data transfer rate up to 4.0 Gb/s, the EOS-1200 combines powerful computing with multi-channel connectivity and a ready-to-deploy application platform for industrial automation, robot guidance and 3D vision.
IEEE-1588 (precise time protocol) is also supported by the EOS-1200, enabling real-time synchronisation of multi-camera image acquisition with high accuracy, making it suitable for use in industrial automation. This could, for example, synchronise multi-camera defect inspection, barcode inspection and OCR/OCV reading, improving overall product quality and increasing efficiency on the production line. IEEE1588 PTP technology allows a single Ethernet cable to deliver both synchronisation and image data, which combined with PoE functionality, simplifies system installation and lowers maintenance costs.
The EOS-1200 features rich I/O capability, including four RS-232/485 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, 32 PNP/NPN isolation digital I/Os and dual storage (two SATA interface, and one CFast slot). A lockable internal USB port, and 1 kbit programmable EEPROM, make the EOS-1200 suitable to integrate, deploy, and manage copy protection or authentication of software licenses for system development.
