The new cable-based Radioline RAD-RS485-IFS stations are now also completely supported by all Radioline wireless modules. This applies to the universally applicable 2.4GHz, the 868MHz suitable for Europe, or the 900MHz frequency band conventional in North America and Canada. Thanks to a firmware update of the wireless head modules, mixed networks can be established consisting of wireless stations and cable-based stations.
All features, such as the easy assignment of I/O information by means of thumb wheels, are available throughout the entire network. In addition to mixed operation with a wireless system, the RAD-RS485-IFS communication modules can be operated as a multipoint multiplexer through a dual-wire RS-485 connection or as a stand-alone application in a Modbus/RTU master. Featuring channel-to-channel electrical isolation and extended ambient conditions from -40degC to +70degC, the I/O extension modules are suitable for robust use in 24/7 applications. The Radioline system is made complete with an extensive approval package including ATEX, IECEx, and UL approvals.
