Aerco introduces Cherry's long-life, snap action switches
Now available from Aerco are the GP and E ranges of precision, long-life, snap action switches from Cherry Electrical Products, targeted at industrial and commercial applications that require a high-performance microswitch. The heavy-duty GP switches can handle up to 20A and have a mechanical life of one million actuations, while the E series switches are available in single- and double-pole configurations with five current ratings from 0.1-30.1A. Rubber boots are available for the GP series to provide protection to IP65.
Featuring an ultra-small travel differential, the GP series is supplied with a wide range of actuators and is available with an optional low operating force. Screw or solder terminations can be specified and the switches feature a high-quality build that uses insert-moulded terminal pins, gold-over-silver plated contacts and a high-strength, titanium copper alloy spring. The housing comprises a rugged phenolic case and cover. E series switches feature a similarly high build quality and can be supplied with operating temperatures of up to 200degC.
Applications will include pressure switches, commercial hand dryers, garage door sensors, fork lift truck motor stops, lift controllers, X-ray equipment and a wide range of other industrial machinery.
