Atlas Copco Compressors in Ireland celebrates 50th year
Atlas Copco Compressors in Ireland is to hold a full programme of staff and customer events to celebrate its 50th year of operation throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The anniversary year will be celebrated with a range of product campaigns, customer promotions and staff events, conducted by a 30-strong team of technical sales, service and support staff who are closely engaged with meeting customers' application needs.
Commenting on the company's commitment and economic contribution to Irish industry, Sean Fairest, Country Manager for Compressor Technique, says: "The alliance of productivity and efficiency in manufacturing has been crucial to Ireland's continuing economic growth. As the largest supplier of compressed air products and services in Ireland, Atlas Copco operates facilities in Dublin, Cork and Lisburn, including a fully equipped compressor engineering workshop serving the needs of major players in all market sectors, including the major players in pharmaceutical, electronic and dairy products.

Atlas Copco's mainstream activity in the west of the country has been assisted by the appointment of C&L Industrial Ltd, based in Galway as distributor for Industrial Air compressors, Quality Air products and spare parts.
Much of the company's continuing sales success and sustained profitability is attributable to the introduction of innovative, energy-efficient products such as the GA VSD+ range of workplace compressors, capable of reducing energy consumption by up to 50 per cent by matching air output to process demand. There is increasing awareness too of the contribution to aeration processes within industrial and municipal waste water plants made by introducing the ZS range of screw blowers to replace traditional lobe technology equipment. These products are also supported by Atlas Copco's SmartLink monitoring technology which brings further peace of mind to its many customers.
The 50th anniversary year coincides with the completion of Sean Fairest's first year as Country Manager in Ireland, having previously served as Vice President of Marketing for Compressor Technique Service at Atlas Copco's Airpower division in Antwerp, Belgium.
