Balluff now offering SuperShorty inductive M12 sensor

The SuperShorty with enclosure rating IP 67 is available in two styles: the 12mm short version can be mounted flush and offers a sensing range of 4mm. The 17mm long style is non-flush with a sensing range of 6mm. Cable variants with M12 plug are also available.

Thanks to this very short style, the entire sensor can also be integrated in space-critical applications as well as in compact assemblies, such as linear slides, valves and actuators. Furthermore, its very low weight predestines it for use in highly dynamic applications with high accelerations, e.g. "pick-and-place' applications. The sensor is based on three-wire technology and, depending on variant, offers a switching frequency of up to 3kHz.
