Battery-operated scale is optionally legal-for-trade
HBM is launching a multi-functional, compact SLS sling scale that is designed primarily for mobile weighing of hospital patients with maximum capacities of 200 or 320kg. The battery-operated direct-display scale is available both in legal-for-trade and non-legal-for-trade versions.
Furthermore, there are two legal-for-trade versions: a single-range version with 200kg maximum capacity with 100g resolution and a dual-range version with an additional weighing range up to 320kg with 200g resolution. An accompanying PTB (German Metrology Institute) test report for OIML R 76 is available.
Industrial applications
Both legal-for-trade versions are intended for the clinical and home-care sectors and are supplied with various easy-to-mount accessories enabling the scale to be integrated into existing patient lifting systems. In addition, the SLS can be used in industrial applications for mains-independent weighing, force measurement or counting. The non-legal-for-trade version has a counter enabling the scale to facilitate inventory counts in addition to weighing components for commissioning.
HBM says the SLS can be easily adapted to any installation and application. Users can be authorised to set the local g-factor following proper training.
Special certification enables HBM to perform an initial manufacturer's verification for the scales as an additional service and provide all accompanying documents for legal-for-trade scales.
