Caddy Tig welding machines deliver reliable Tig welding
ESAB's latest portable Caddy TIG welding units are suitable for welding mild steel and stainless steel, and some units can be used on aluminium.
The Tig 1500i, TA33, Tig 1500i, TA24, the Tig 2200i, TA33 and the Tig 2200i, TA34 offer MMA as well as TIG DC, but the TA34 units also have Pulse TIG DC.
In addition, the Caddy Tig 1500i, TA33 and Tig 2200i, TA33 offer slope down and plate thickness setting, while the TA34 units have Pulse TIG, micro pulse, slope up/down, two memories and the possibility of remote control.
Moving up ESAB's Tig range, there are two Origo Tig 3001i units, namely the TA23 and TA24. Both require a three-phase supply and have a maximum output of 300A at a 35 per cent duty cycle. These are DC units designed for welding mild and stainless steel. Both have Tig DC and MMA processes, while the TA24 also has Pulse Tig DC.
Special functions include slope up/down and the possibility of remote control. The Tig 3001i, TA24 also has Pulse Tig DC, micro pulse and two memories.
The two Origo AC/DC units can work with aluminium as well as steel and both offer Tig AC/DC and micro pulse processes.
Special functions on the two units are identical: Pulse Tig DC, micro pulse, slope up/down, AC frequency and balance control, electrode pre-heating, two memories and the possibility of remote control.
ESAB's top-of-the-range Aristo Tig units require a three-phase supply and both have an output of 400A at a 35 per cent duty cycle. Both offer Tig DC and MMA, while the TA6 also has Pulse Tig.
The machine with TA4 offers a special function of slope up/down. The one with TA6 also has Pulse TIG, MMA electrode type selection and 10 memories. Both offer the possibility of remote control.
