City & Guilds training in machinery safety
Pilz Automation Technology is a market-leading provider of machinery safety-related control equipment and associated training and education. Available exclusively from Pilz, this four-day course provides attendees with the knowledge that will help them to demonstrate a level of competency in machinery safety. It is suitable for people who have responsibility for new or existing machinery, including engineering/project managers, designers, manufacturers and maintenance engineers.
An important aspect of effective training is getting the right information across to the right people. For that reason, Pilz also offers a similar two-day course for managers and a one-day course for supervisors. Both of these courses cover the application of EU Regulations and standards for machinery safety, and explain the full extent of the responsibilities for managers and supervisors under the current legislation.
Today there is an increasing emphasis on the need for all personnel involved with machinery safety to have demonstrable competency. Formalised training has a vital role to play in developing and maintaining the competency of users of work equipment as defined in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98).
