With the new series of compact IndraDrive Cs drives, Rexroth is expanding the lower power range of the IndraDrive drive system that has enjoyed worldwide success. In addition to an innovative space-saving design and excellent performance, Rexroth's IndraDrive Cs drives are said to stand out for their extensive Ethernet-based communication interfaces and take account of the increased requirements for openness and consistency with newly developed communication hardware with multiple protocol compatibility.
Rexroth's IndraDrive Cs drives feature Sercos III, Profinet IO (RT), Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT support, even in the basic universal version, with Profibus-DP offered as an option. They are connected via universal communication hardware for all the Ethernet-based interfaces named and are easily configured using Rexroth's IndraWorks. Rexroth has thereby given engineers a high degree of flexibility in communication with minimal engineering work. Combined with the multiple transducer interface for evaluating all relevant encoder types plus an additional slot, it is possible - with only a few standard variants - to cover most drive tasks.
Future versions of the IndraDrive Cs drives will offer optional use of Motion Logic in accordance with IEC 61131-3 and the integrated Safety on board.
