Conference to take place alongside DSEi 2007

There will be three conference streams running in parallel. These are: Strategic Supply Chain Collaboration; Business and Battle Space Network Implementation; and Human Capital Transformation.

The Strategic Supply Chain Collaboration stream will include topics such as: how the UK Defence Industrial Strategy will provide for long-term operational capability; US Defense acquisition reform – what will the future military-industry relationship look like?; and the strategic opportunities of global sourcing for the defence industry.

The Business and Battle Space Network Implementation stream will look at areas such as: organisational behaviours of networked cultures; challenging the political and technological hurdles of coalition interoperability; and SATCOM and deployable communications and information systems.

Human Capital Transformation stream sessions will include: manpower planning, leadership and workforce development; recruitment and retention; and understanding enterprise-wide applications of HR management information systems and how they can drive further efficiency gains and reduce costs.

There will also be a series of Special Interest Groups – practical workshop sessions organised by DSEi in association with the DDA (Defence Diversification Agency). These are particularly aimed at helping SMEs in the defence industry and will cover issues such as how to become a supplier to UK MOD.
