Conrad adds HellermannTyton's new metal punch lock tie
Conrad Business Supplies is adding HellermannTyton's Metal Punch Lock Ties (MST-Series) to its product portfolio. The ties are designed and optimised for bundling and fixing cables and loads in heavy duty industries or other extreme environments. The MST-Series complements other metal system products from cable and connecting components specialist HellermanTyton already available from Conrad, offering an even greater choice of highly durable and reliable products for the toughest application areas.
MST-Series stainless steel cable ties are suitable for fixing loads and cables securely in hazardous industrial environments that are prone to regular exposure to weather, saltwater and temperature extremes. Rated from -80degC to +538degC, the metal ties have a high heat tolerance and also exhibit non-burning as well as non-corrosive characteristics. Moreover, the new punch locking mechanism offers high resistance to vibration where that is a requirement. The MST6 tool has been specially developed for reliably applying HellermannTyton metal cable ties of the MST-Series. The punch-lock mechanism mechanically crimps the tie ensuring a reliable bundling with resistance to vibration. The tension force is freely adjustable by the operator.
Other HellermannTyton's professional metal system products available via Conrad include the Metal Ball Locking Tie (MBT-Series) - a self-locking fully coated stainless steel cable tie that is highly resistant to temperature fluctuations, corrosion, chemical contact, abrasive friction, shock and vibration. This makes them suitable for use in the chemical and oil industries, mass transit, ship building and mining.
The MK9SST is a manual processing tool and is also offered by Conrad for the fastening of metal cable ties. The ergonomic hand tool fitted with a comfortable grip ensures a flush cut-off to protect the cable bundle and the safety of the user. Finally, the highly reliable HelaGuard flexible metal conduit made from galvanised steel can be combined with a wide variety of robust stainless steel and brass fittings to provide optimal and secure mechanical protection.
