HBM is launching the CX22W data recorder to extend the capabilities of its QuantumX series by providing a local storage for measurement data. The CX22W can be used for standalone data logging, thereby eliminating the need to connect the system to a PC.
Step-by-step measurement tasks can easily be configured either by using a connected PC or wirelessly via a WLAN. Recording of data can be controlled using a number of different methods: one option is to manually use the integrated start/stop key; alternatively, the recording can be by auto-start, or event-driven; finally there is the option of using intelligent triggers, which means that the operation of the measurement system is totally self-contained.
Selected signals can easily be monitored so that, if necessary, alarms can be triggered while the robust, removable CF card saves all measurement data - including any meta-data - in a selected data format and rhythm. Full measurement reports can be generated using VB scripts. Set-up is simplified with individual, graphic display and control levels for touch-screen connection, and configurations can be saved for swift loading on future tests.
QuantumX, HBM's modular DAQ system, allows mechanical, electrical and thermal quantities to be measured simply and securely. The system is designed for maximum compatibility with a very wide range of amplifiers. Typical uses for self-contained measurement systems such as the CX22W include mobile applications, such as in vehicles, and the stationary, long-term monitoring of buildings.
Follow the link for more information about the CX22W data recorder. If you are attending the AeroEngineering show at the NEC, Birmingham, on 9/10 November 2011, you can see the CX22 data recorder and QuantumX amplifier on HBM's stand, number 906.
