Dr Jürgen Ackermann named new CEO of NSK Europe Ltd

On 25 June 2013, Dr Jürgen Ackermann was appointed CEO of NSK Europe, suppliers of bearings and automotive components. Dr Ackermann has been at NSK Europe since 2007, most recently in the position of COO.

Previous CEO Norbert Schneider, who is assuming the position of Non-Executive Chairman, says: "˜With Dr Ackermann, NSK will continue its successful growth path in Europe and keep pursuing its aim of attaining quality leadership across the board.'

Before joining NSK, Dr Jürgen Ackermann was Managing Director at Norgren Deutschland, one of the top 10 suppliers of motion and fluid control technologies worldwide. The new CEO has expertise in both strategic and technological fields. He is also knowledgeable in the operational side of business, and therefore understands the importance of working closely with customers. The Chief Executive's main task will be to further expand NSK Europe's role as a technological leader, tap new growth areas and combine NSK's outstanding product quality with excellent service.

NSK Europe is ramping up its engineering and production capacity, enabling it to capitalise on key expansion opportunities in Western Europe and the emerging markets in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
