Easy-to-use AC drives cope with harsh environments
Vacon is introducing the new Vacon X product line. This range of easy-to-use AC drives is designed for harsh environments, enduring dirt, dust, humidity and liquids. The Vacon X series is targeted at the food and beverage industry, material handling and water and waste water treatment industries, but is suitable for all tough industrial applications.
Heikki Hiltunen, Executive Vice President of Vacon, says: "The new Vacon X series of AC drives supports our main value discipline; product leadership. It is a rugged family of variable-speed AC drives, built and designed for harsh industrial environments. From simple applications to those requiring advanced communications, the Vacon X series offers an increasing level of performance and features for the industrial environment. Capabilities ranging from simple press-and-run keypad operation to a real-time clock, advanced PLC functions or a USB interface are available."
The Vacon X series of AC drives is available in IP66 enclosures through 75kW and in IP55 to 132kW. These drives can be configured for any industrial application where data collection, flexible interfacing and automatic sequencing operation are a priority.
Vacon offers AC drives that are claimed to accelerate the customer's business. For Vacon, product leadership means a broad product selection, outstanding AC drive expertise, customer relationship management, the latest technology and mass customisation.
The Vacon family of variable speed AC drives was complemented by this new product line after Vacon acquired the AC drives business of USA-based TB Wood's in January 2008. First introduced by TB Wood's in 2005, these products are sold under their original SE2, X4 and X5 names in the USA.
The Vacon X series will be introduced at the annual Vacon Drives Conference to be held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 9-12 June 2008.
