Eaton has appointed Mark King as commercial director of lighting and safety products with a remit to enhance the productivity of building users. The appointment comes at an important time as the power management company continues to expand its strong product portfolio. As such, King will maintain Eaton's focus on class-leading lighting products, systems and services that reduce energy, increase safety and improve comfort and aesthetics.
King says: "It's an exciting time to join the company, with great opportunities to build customer relationships and drive the Eaton brand forward within the lighting industry. This role will enable me to focus on driving continued growth through technological leadership. With Eaton's deep expertise and innovation, we can continue to develop the next generation of LED technology and ensure we continue to provide best-in-class commercial and industrial lighting solutions."
King brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Eaton after moving from Havells Sylvania, where he was product director for Europe. He has extensive experience in lighting and safety products, having started his career as an account manager at ECS Philips. Following experience as marketing manager at Apex Lighting Solutions, King moved on to Thorn Lighting, where he spent 7 years as a field marketing manager.
Recent additions to Eaton's portfolio include a comprehensive range of LED emergency luminaires, durable and energy efficient mains lighting options for industrial applications and attractive luminaires for offices, leisure, retail and other commercial spaces where high performance and cost-effectiveness are key.
Eaton's lighting range will be on show at Light + Building 2016, in Frankfurt from 13th to 18th March, and King is looking forward to meeting visitors. Go to www.eaton.com for more information.
