Eaton is launching the new EC525 high temperature 4-spiral hose. The hose features Eaton's new AQP PLUS elastomer compound, designed to provide longer hose life and lower maintenance costs in applications where fluid compatibility and high temperature are problematic.
Ulrich Ammer, product marketing manager, Eaton, says: "The unique AQP tube and cover compound offers a solution compatible with a broader range of hydraulic fluids compared to standard rubber compounds. The improved compound extends hose life, meeting the needs of customers working in challenging high temperature conditions."
The 4-spiral wire hose construction is approved for use at temperatures from -40degC (-40degF) to +150degC (+302degF) for a variety of hydraulic fluids, including petroleum, fire-resistant and water based fluids. The EC525 is available in sizes -12 through -32, all approved with Eaton's non-skive one-piece TTC12 series hose fittings for easy assembly. Furthermore, 1W- ISC fitting qualification is in process and will be available on demand. Sizes -12 and -16 are rated at 350 bar (5000psi) operating pressure; sizes -20 and -24 are rated at 241bar (3500 psi); and size -32 is rated at 224bar (3250 psi) operating pressure.
