Electrak Pro linear actuators now available from Micromech
Micromech has been appointed by Danaher Motion to distribute the Electrak Pro Series line of linear actuators. This new range is said to be suitable for tough and demanding applications. Where space is scarce, where dust, dirt, and water are abundant, and when solid, reliable and maintenance-free operation is needed, then Electrak Pro actuators can help.
The range, which shares the same high quality standards as Danaher's previous actuators, accepts either 12V DC or 24V DC and dynamic thrust loads of up to 9000N (2000 lbf) can be delivered. The maximum dynamic load speed is 38mm/s (1.5in/s), with standard and custom stroke lengths as long as 300mm (12in) available. The units are offered with either ball or acme drive screws and have IP66 or IP67 sealing. A dynamic brake, load holding brake and manual override are also available.
Micromech says the actuators come with a number of special features, including electronic load monitoring (ELM) that consists of a built-in microprocessor to continuously monitor performance; this provides end-of-stroke, mid-stroke, overload and duty cycle protection by stopping actuator movement. There are also programmable limit switches, low-voltage power switching, PWM speed control monitoring and a signal follower input.
Micromech will also be promoting the other already well known actuators in the Electrak family that are noted for their performance capacities, from standard to special stroke lengths, clevis to trunnion mounts, ball or acme screw drives, and AC or DC supply voltages.
