ERIKS is releasing a free white paper that explains how and why process re-engineering can improve productivity and efficiency for OEMs. The release of the white paper is part of an on-going programme of initiatives from ERIKS that aims to support customers by providing innovative responses to increasingly important business issues.
ERIKS' capability to provide process engineering for OEMs has grown from its origins as an MRO-only supplier, and that knowhow is still available to MRO customers. However, as the paper explains, customers can now source complete system engineering systems such as automation from ERIKS, which is one reason why the company is increasingly in demand not only as a manufacturer and supplier but also as a solutions provider.
The paper looks at how new ideas in the field of process management, along with fresh approaches to problem-solving, are presenting new opportunities in the engineering industry. These new ideas are explored from both a theoretical and a practical point of view. Professor Andi Smart, Professor of Operations and Process Management at the University of Exeter, proposes that more fluid structures within business are required to meet changing customer needs, while Gary Price of ERIKS explains why the capability, expertise and spirit to innovate enable businesses to meet those needs.
