ESAB achieves global ISO 14001 certification
ESAB has achieved certification of its Environmental and Occupational, Health and Safety Management System. Certification was granted by Det Norske Veritas.
The system covers all ESAB employees and activities worldwide. ESAB is believed to be the first global company in any business to achieve this level of management control for both environmental and health and safety standards. Thousands of companies have achieved ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS 18001 certification somewhere, but ESAB claims to be the only company to have achieved both throughout the world.
Stefan Larsson, Director of Sustainable Development at the ESAB Group, explains: "It is fundamental to all of our activities because a global management system, covering everything from development and design, through production to sales and services worldwide, is the foundation for a well-managed company.
